Connect Amazon
Step-by-step guide to connecting your Amazon Seller Central account, plus the Keepa key and the manual refresh-token option.
What it's for
Connecting Amazon lets OrderPilot import your orders, send inventory and handling time, confirm shipments with tracking, pull fees for your P&L, and refresh listing details from Amazon's catalog.
Where to find it
β Settings β Channels β click your Amazon store β Connection tab.
The screen at a glance
- Status box β "π’ Amazon connected" with the date and your Seller ID, or "βͺ Not connected yet β Complete Step 1, then Step 2."
- Step 1 β App credentials (from Seller Central β Apps & Services β Develop Apps):
- Application ID
- LWA Client ID
- LWA Client Secret β shows "(saved β)" once stored. Leave blank to keep it.
- Marketplace ID β filled with the US marketplace by default.
- App is still in draft on Amazon (use beta mode) β tick while your app is still a draft on Amazon's side.
- Step 2 β Authorize β shows the OAuth Redirect URI to copy into Amazon, and the connect and test buttons.
- Keepa key β used for product images and buy-box price. See Connect Keepa.
- Manual alternative (no redirect) β a hidden section where you can paste a refresh token and Seller ID yourself.

How to connect Amazon
In Seller Central:
- Go to Apps & Services β Develop Apps and create or open your app.
- Copy the Application ID, LWA Client ID and LWA Client Secret.
In OrderPilot:
- Open Settings β Channels β your Amazon store β Connection.
- Paste the three values into Step 1. Leave Marketplace ID as it is for the US store.
- If your app is still a draft on Amazon, tick App is still in draft on Amazon (use beta mode).
- Click πΎ Save credentials. You should see "β Saved".
Back in Seller Central (one time):
- In OrderPilot, click π next to the redirect address under Step 2.
- In Amazon's Developer Central, paste it as the app's OAuth Redirect URI and save.
Finish in OrderPilot:
- Click π Connect with Amazon.
- On Amazon's page, click Authorize.
- You return to OrderPilot. The status box shows "π’ Amazon connected" with your Seller ID.
- Click π§ͺ Test connection to confirm.
Next, set up what is sent and imported on the Inventory & listings and Orders tabs (see Channels and stores).
How to connect without the redirect (manual token)
- Complete Step 1 and click πΎ Save credentials.
- In Developer Central, self-authorize your app and copy the refresh token.
- In OrderPilot, open Manual alternative (no redirect): paste a refresh token yourself.
- Paste the Refresh Token and your Seller ID.
- Click πΎ Save token & Seller ID, then π§ͺ Test connection.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Amazon shows an error after you click Authorize. The redirect address in Developer Central must match the one shown in OrderPilot exactly. Copy it again with π.
- Test connection fails right after connecting. If your app is still a draft on Amazon, make sure the beta mode box is ticked and saved.
- Changing the secret. Paste the new secret and click Save credentials. Leaving the box blank keeps the old one.
- The badge on the store box shows Connected or Not connected at a glance.
