Warehouse settings

Set up your location structure, picking and scanning rules, location label format and shipping boxes.

What it's for

The Warehouse box controls how your shelves are organized and named, how your team picks orders, what format location labels print in, and which box sizes are offered on the Shipping page.

Where to find it

βš™ Settings β†’ General settings β†’ Warehouse. Tabs: Location structure, Scanning & picking, Labels, Packages.

Every setting here saves on its own as soon as you change it. A "Warehouse settings saved" notice appears.

The screen at a glance

Location structure tab

Choose which levels your locations use. The deepest level you turn on carries the scannable QR code.

Setting What it does
Use aisles Groups locations by aisle in the Real-look view and in names.
Use shelves A shelf level between aisle and bin.
Use bins The scannable leaf location that carries the QR.
Use a level inside the bin A 4th level inside a bin, named by your team β€” for example "Part 1".
Custom places Free-standing named places outside the aisles and shelves β€” a rack, floor pallets, an overflow corner. They hold stock and orders can be filled from them like any other location.
Inside-bin level name What the 4th level is called everywhere (default "Part").
Aisle / Shelf / Bin / Inside-bin naming Pick Numbers or ABC, and optionally where the sequence starts (start aaa gives aab, aac…; start 100 gives 101, 102…). Blank means 1, 2, 3 or a, b, c.
Restart shelf count per aisle On: every aisle starts again at Shelf 1. Off: shelf numbers keep counting across aisles.
Restart bin count per shelf On: every shelf starts again at Bin 1. Off: bin numbers keep counting across the warehouse.

Scanning & picking tab

Setting What it does
Scan out before shipping Always on (shows "Enforced"). An order line filled from warehouse stock cannot buy a label until it is scanned out of its bin.
Phone scan picking Pick with the phone camera β€” every unit is scanned as it comes off the shelf. Scan-proof.
Phone marking (tick-off picking) Adds a second Picklist option on the Shipping page: the picker scans one QR and ticks lines off on the phone. Much faster, but not scan-proof β€” nothing checks that what was ticked is what was taken. Only ticked lines are marked picked.
Paper pick sheets Printed packing slips and pick sheets. Turn off to make picking phone-only: "Print the sheet" disappears and Mark picked (no scan) is disabled everywhere. Turn on Phone marking or Phone scan picking first, or nothing can be picked.
Require scan for transfers Blocks typing on bin-to-bin transfers β€” scan only.
πŸ†• Create unknown scanned items Scanning a UPC that is not in Catalog SKUs creates a catalog SKU on the spot instead of showing an error. When Amazon is connected, the title and image are looked up by UPC.
New item naming How the new catalog SKU is named: the UPC plus a tag (for example _OP) After or Before it. An example shows next to it.

Labels tab

Label format for location labels (each label carries the open, transfer and count QR codes):

Column Meaning

W / H / L (in) Inside size in inches.
Split Tick if the split planner may suggest this box.
