Repricer: Amazon connection

Check that Amazon's real-time price updates are reaching the Repricer, and connect or repair the feed.

What it's for

The Repricer reacts to competitors in real time. To do that, Amazon sends OrderPilot a message within seconds every time any seller changes price, shipping or delivery time on a product you sell. These messages go through a private message queue in your company's AWS account.

As a backup, OrderPilot also asks Amazon directly for the offers on every product every few hours, in case a message is missed. The backup check needs no AWS setup.

The Amazon connection tab shows whether all of this is working. Nothing here needs your attention unless the banner at the top turns red.

Where to find it

In the left sidebar, open Inventory β†’ Repricer, then click the Amazon connection tab. Links in the Overview's Needs a look box also bring you here.

The screen at a glance

A green banner means Amazon price changes are flowing in.

The banner

Banner Meaning
Green: "Connected β€” Amazon price changes are flowing in" Everything is working. It shows how many real-time messages and backup checks came in during the last hour, and when the last message arrived.
Red: "Not receiving Amazon updates right now" The feed was set up, but nothing is arriving. The Technical details section opens by itself so you can run Diagnose.
Grey: "Not connected yet" The real-time feed hasn't been set up. Open Technical details to connect it.

Tiles

Tile What it shows
Amazon messages Β· last hour Real-time price change messages in the last hour.
Amazon messages Β· 24h Messages in the last 24 hours.
Last message How long ago the last message arrived.
Waiting in queue Messages not yet processed. It should stay near 0.

Backup price check

Explains the backup check: best sellers every 15 minutes, the rest in rotation about every 3 hours. It shows how many products were checked in the last hour and 24 hours, Amazon's winning prices and competitive summaries fetched, and any errors or throttling by Amazon.

Buttons and actions

Button What it does
Technical details & setup Opens or closes the setup section.
Connect the feed (admins only) Sets up the queue, the Amazon destination and the subscription in one go. The button reads Re-check / repair once the feed is set up, and runs the same steps again to fix anything missing.
🩺 Diagnose (admins only) Asks Amazon and AWS about the feed and shows each check with βœ“ or !: whether Amazon holds your subscription, whether it points at your queue, whether Amazon is allowed to send to the queue, whether the queue is unencrypted, and whether your seller ID matches your company. It also shows how many messages are waiting.
Turn queue encryption off (owner only) Appears after Diagnose if the queue is encrypted. Amazon can't send messages into an encrypted queue, so this turns encryption off.

How to connect the real-time feed

  1. Ask your account owner to save an AWS key in Settings β†’ Platform β†’ AWS account, if it isn't there yet.
  2. Open the Amazon connection tab.
