Inventory settings

Company-wide inventory preferences β€” display timezone, product images, restrict reasons, auto-creating catalog SKUs and undoing uploads.

What it's for

The Inventory box holds inventory preferences that apply to every channel:

Channel-specific inventory settings (what quantity is sent to Amazon or Walmart, sync schedules, handling time) are under Channels. See Channels and stores.

Where to find it

βš™ Settings β†’ General settings β†’ Inventory. The panel has four tabs: Images, Restrict, New SKUs and Undo uploads.

The screen at a glance

The Images tab also holds the Time card with the display timezone.

Images tab

Time β€” Display timezone. Pick Eastern, Central, Mountain, Arizona, Pacific or UTC. Timestamps such as warehouse history are shown in this zone, whatever your computer's own clock says. It saves as soon as you pick.

Images (all channels):

Restrict tab

Restricting a SKU sends 0 inventory. Restricting a catalog SKU restricts all of its listings. A restricted vendor (source) SKU is never ordered from.

Three switches decide whether someone must pick a reason before restricting:

Each switch saves the moment you flip it.

New SKUs tab

Auto-create Catalog SKU from Source SKU. For every source SKU that has no catalog SKU yet, OrderPilot can create one. Source SKUs that already have a catalog SKU are skipped.

Auto-create from EDI. Turn on Create automatically after each 832 to run the same recipe every time a vendor catalog (832) file is processed. This switch saves on its own.

Undo uploads tab

Lists your spreadsheet uploads from the Imports screens over the last 7 days. Each row shows when it ran, how many rows it changed, and how many listings and catalog SKUs it created. An upload can be undone for 1 hour after it ran. After that the row says "too old (>1h)". Rows already reversed say "undone".

Buttons and actions

Button What it does
Save images Saves the two image switches and the timezone.
↻ Backfill images now Fills in missing pictures right away using the image switches, then shows how many catalog and source images were set.
Save (New SKUs) Saves the auto-create recipe (base field, tag, before/after).
β–Ά Create now Creates catalog SKUs now for every source SKU without one. It reports how many were created, how many were linked to an existing catalog SKU, and how many were skipped because the chosen field was empty.
Create automatically after each 832 Switch. Runs the recipe after every vendor catalog file.
↩ Undo (Undo uploads) Asks you to confirm, then reverses everything that upload changed: links, bundles, titles, prices, ASINs, and deletes rows it created. This cannot be re-done.

  4. Check the Example line.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click β–Ά Create now. Wait for the result message.
  7. Optional: turn on Create automatically after each 832 so new vendor items get a catalog SKU without you doing anything.

  2. Find the upload by its name and time.
