Connect eBay

Step-by-step guide to connecting your eBay store with a free eBay developer keyset, and turning on order import.

What it's for

Connecting eBay lets OrderPilot import your unshipped eBay orders and route them like any other channel.

Where to find it

βš™ Settings β†’ Channels β†’ click your eBay store. Tabs: Connection, Orders, Inventory.

Button What it does
πŸ“‹ Copies the Auth accepted URL.
πŸ’Ύ Save credentials Saves your keyset. Then click Connect with eBay.
πŸ”— Connect with eBay Takes you to eBay to approve access. You come back to Settings with "βœ… eBay connected!" or an error message.
Save (Orders) Saves the import switch, interval and window.
Import now Starts an eBay order import right away. Watch the Jobs log.
Save (Inventory) Saves the push switch and interval.

How to connect eBay

On eBay's side (free, one time):

  1. Create a developer account at developer.ebay.com.
  2. Go to Application Keys and create a Production keyset.
  3. Copy the App ID (Client ID) and Cert ID (Client Secret).
  4. Under User Tokens, choose Get a Token via Your App and add a redirect (RuName).
  5. In OrderPilot, click πŸ“‹ next to the URL in the instructions. Paste it as the RuName's Auth accepted URL on eBay and save.
  6. Copy the RuName name.

In OrderPilot:

  1. Paste the App ID, Cert ID and RuName. Leave Environment on Production.
  2. Click πŸ’Ύ Save credentials. The status box says "Credentials saved β€” one step left".
  3. Click πŸ”— Connect with eBay and approve on eBay's page.
  4. Back in Settings, the status box shows "βœ… Connected to eBay".

How to start importing eBay orders

  1. Open the Orders tab.
  2. Turn on Import orders automatically.
  3. Set every 15 minutes and window 3 days (or your choice).
  4. Click Save. Click Import now to pull orders straight away.
